The 2021-2022 VIRTUAL High School BBQ Project Baste (Based) Learning experience THE SLAB ( Student's LIT About Barbecue) Challenge.  Win a $1,000 for your program, trophies, and braggin rights for a year as the TOP HIGH SCHOOL BBQ TEAM in America. Student's will research "What is American Barbecue?" as part of a project based learning experience in teams in your classroom. Students will be required to turn in a written research paper about "What is American Barbecue?", a short 5 minute video about your program and team describing what they learning about barbecue, and host a Cook Off h at your high school as the capstone experience for the project and students that is judged using our double blind judging system the BBQ Report Card. Those results, along with the Research Paper and Video will be submitted to be judged by our Panel of judges to pick the winner. The TOP 10 high school BBQ teams in the VIRTUAL CHALLENGE will be invited to the in person National Championship THE SLAB June 19-22, 2022 at the Kalahari Resort Americas largest indoor waterpark in Round Rock, Texas to cook and learn with the Top 100 High School's in America to become NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

National Championship ( Does not include travel, hotels, and food cost for each team).
