 NHSBBQA® NDA & ACCESS POLICY


  • 1️⃣ PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY

    The National High School BBQ Association® (NHSBBQA®) protects student safety, educational integrity, proprietary systems, and intellectual property through a tiered access and confidentiality framework.

    This policy governs:

    • What information may be accessed

    • By whom

    • For what purpose

    • Under what restrictions

    Access is role-based, need-to-know, and revocable.

    2️⃣ WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS

    This policy applies to any individual or organization that:

    • Applies for partnership

    • Is approved as a partner

    • Participates in governance, certification, judging, or leadership

    • Receives non-public NHSBBQA® materials

    • Interacts with students, schools, or districts through NHSBBQA®

    3️⃣ DEFINITION OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

    Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to:

    • Student data (PII, participation, performance)

    • School and district verification records

    • Certification systems, rubrics, and scoring models

    • Project BASTE Learning™ curriculum and frameworks

    • LIVE FIRE LEARNING LAB® content and methodologies

    • Partner lists, pipeline strategies, and pathway mappings

    • Internal governance documents

    • Contracts, agreements, and licensing terms

    • Technology platforms, workflows, and data schemas

    Public-facing marketing content is not confidential unless explicitly stated.

    4️⃣ ACCESS TIERS (VERY IMPORTANT)

    Tier 1 — Public Access

    Includes:

    • Website content

    • Published certification overviews

    • Public-facing partner titles

    • Marketing and informational materials

    No NDA required

    Tier 2 — Limited Access

    Includes:

    • Partner prospectus

    • Non-public program details

    • Draft pathway concepts

    • Preliminary collaboration discussions

    Requires acknowledgment of NDA & Access Policy
    (Constructive notice via form submission)

    Tier 3 — Restricted Access

    Includes:

    • Detailed curriculum

    • Certification rubrics

    • Student data

    • Internal training materials

    • Governance documentation

    Requires executed NDA or formal agreement

    Tier 4 — Controlled Access

    Includes:

    • System-level IP

    • Platform architecture

    • Licensing models

    • National or state expansion strategies

    Invitation-only access with enhanced NDA

    5️⃣ USE RESTRICTIONS

    Recipients of any non-public NHSBBQA® information agree that they will:

    • Use information solely for evaluation or approved collaboration

    • Not share, copy, or distribute materials

    • Not reverse-engineer systems or frameworks

    • Not represent themselves as owners, licensors, or authorities

    • Not use access to recruit for competing programs or sanctioning bodies

    6️⃣ CONFLICT OF INTEREST ALIGNMENT

    Access is denied or revoked if an individual or organization:

    • Represents a competing youth sanctioning body

    • Promotes adult competition organizations to students

    • Uses access to undermine NHSBBQA® authority

    • Misrepresents partnership status or scope

    This aligns directly with the Partner Eligibility & Ethics Policy.

    7️⃣ ACKNOWLEDGMENT LANGUAGE

    Final Acknowledgment & Legal Notice

    NHSBBQA® partnerships are selective, mission-driven, and governed by eligibility and ethics standards. Partnership does not imply sanctioning authority or endorsement.

  • By submitting this form, I acknowledge and agree that:

    • NHSBBQA®, National High School BBQ Association®, Project BASTE Learning®,

    LIVE FIRE LEARNING LAB®, THE S.L.A.B.®, COME EAT OUR HOMEWORK!®,

    and WHERE DREAMS IGNITE!® are protected intellectual property.

    • Submission of this form does not grant partnership, endorsement,

    sanctioning authority, or access to non-public materials.

    • Any non-public information shared is subject to NHSBBQA®’s

    NDA & Access Policy and may not be disclosed or used without authorization.

    • NHSBBQA® reserves the right to limit, revoke, or deny access

    at its sole discretion.
